Quenching oil and heat treatment fluids are designed for rapid or controlled cooling of steel or other metals as part of a hardening, tempering or other heat-treating process. Quenching oil serves two primary functions… Oil is, therefore, able to quench intricate shapes and high-hardenability alloys successfully.
Benefits :
Applications :
Services Considerations
Heat-treating operations consist of heating and cooling metals and alloys in order to produce the optimum physical properties for a specific end use. Quenching (rapid cooling) from red heat is the most important phase of heat treatment. Hardness, strength, docility and thoughness can be controlled using the appropriate viscosity and quenching techniques.
In order to produce even hardening of the work piece, system agitation should be employed to remove the blanket of oil vapor which may form on the service of the metal which slows the rate of cooling.
Handling health & Safety :
Lubricants consisting of highly refined mineral oils with specification additives. In normal conditions of use, this lubricant present no particular toxic hazar. All lubricants, of any kind should be handled with great care, particularly avoiding can contact with the skin.
Prevent any splashing, and keep away from combustible materials. Store under cover and away from any risk of pollution. Dispose off the used oil correctly, don’t pour drains, into watercourses or the soil.
